Course overview
Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are now in place at many workplaces and leisure areas. AED training covers one-day AED training and a half-day AED refresher. Delivery is arranged for your organisation.

Organisations that need automated external defibrillator training for people who will use AED equipment at work or in leisure settings.
What the course covers
Safety for self, bystanders and the casualty
Vital signs including conscious level, breathing, colour and temperature
Accident procedure and the safe airway position
CPR according to UK and European Resuscitation guidelines
Use of an AED
Practical learning
Learners practise CPR according to UK and European Resuscitation guidelines, and the use of an AED.
Qualification or certification
The AED training course is certified for 1 year. Candidates need to refresh regularly to avoid skill loss.
