Allan recently travelled to Shropshire to deliver a two-day outdoor first aid course at Spirited Adventure.

This was no ordinary classroom-based course. It was a fully immersive, residential experience set deep in the woods.

Participants included experienced bushcraft instructors from across the UK, alongside individuals with military backgrounds. This created a highly practical and focused learning environment.

Training continued into the evening, with participants working in low-light woodland conditions. The group then bivvied overnight on-site, reinforcing the realities of outdoor environments.

While the course followed the full 16-hour first aid syllabus, special attention was given to scenarios most relevant to remote and outdoor settings:
