Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you book an open training course from Allan Shaw, trading as Allan Shaw Experience First Aid. They are written for customers in plain English. They do not affect your statutory rights.

1. Trader identity and contact details

Courses are provided by Allan Shaw, a sole trader trading as Allan Shaw Experience First Aid.

Address: 17 Long Lane, Banks, Southport, Merseyside, PR9 8EX, United Kingdom. Email: info@ashawexperiencefirstaid.co.uk. Telephone: 07958 261242. Website: Contact.

Allan is not VAT registered. The course price shown at checkout is the total course price payable. No VAT is added.

2. Scope of these terms

These terms cover open, dated course bookings made through this website. Organisation training arranged by enquiry is confirmed separately in writing.

3. Course information

Each course page describes the subject, typical duration, who it is for, and any assessment requirements we publish.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Because Allan is not VAT registered, displayed prices are the full amount you pay for the course place or places in your order.

5. Confirmation of a booking

After successful payment you should receive an order confirmation by email. Your contract is formed when we accept your order, which we normally do by sending that confirmation and processing payment.

6. Customer-provided participant information

You must provide complete and accurate names and contact details for each participant.

7. Optional practical or accessibility arrangements

Optional accessibility, dietary or practical information is voluntary and used only with your explicit consent, as explained in the Privacy Notice.

8. Customer cancellations and transfers

The Course cancellations and refunds page forms part of these terms. Nothing in our cancellation policy affects the legal rights you have as a consumer.

9. Cancellation or rescheduling by Allan

We may cancel or reschedule a course where we cannot reasonably deliver it, and we will offer a transfer or a refund of the course price paid.

10. Minimum numbers and circumstances that may affect delivery

If numbers are too low to deliver the course properly, we may postpone or cancel it and offer a transfer or refund of the price paid.

11. Attendance, lateness and participant conduct

Please arrive on time. Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions.

12. Certificates and assessment

Certificates are issued only to participants who meet the published attendance or assessment requirements.

13. Accurate information

Please make sure booking, billing and participant details are correct.

14. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that UK law does not allow us to exclude.

15. Events outside reasonable control

If we cannot deliver a course because of events outside reasonable control, we will offer a transfer or refund of the course price paid.

16. Privacy and personal information

See the Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy.

17. Complaints and contact

Contact us through the contact page, by email at info@ashawexperiencefirstaid.co.uk, or by telephone on 07958 261242.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. UK consumer law still applies.

19. Statutory consumer rights

Nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory consumer rights. The full cancellation and refund detail is on the Course cancellations and refunds page.
